Over the past few months, we’ve been deeply engaged with business leaders, listening carefully to their needs and ideas, and finding innovative ways to support their commitment to their employees’ well-being knowing the positive impact family friendly workplace policies have on their business.

In our unwavering dedication to supporting businesses and ensuring the longevity of our programs, we’re excited to introduce an all new program support option. This addition will not only help sustain our continued programming but also open doors for more companies to participate. You will see the option to provide program support when you apply or renew for 2024. We anticipate an array of enhancements in the year ahead as we elevate our asset package.

In our commitment to creating more equitable workplaces, we have incorporated language recognizing pay equity and menstrual policies in the 2024 application. Family Friendly New Mexico is committed to racial justice. We are committed to listening and learning, doing the hard work, having the hard conversations and providing resources so that our business leaders can do the same in their own organizations.

Though family friendly workplace policies, we aim to break down barriers, ensure equal opportunities and promote inclusivity for all employees. We understand that a diverse and inclusive workforce is not just a goal; it’s a catalyst for positive change in our communities. By collectively championing these ideals, we are not only building stronger businesses but also helping to create a more just and equitable New Mexico for everyone.

Impressive Impact

Since its inception, the Family Friendly Business Award® has impacted a total of 272 New Mexico businesses and 129,113 employees statewide. Between 2019 and 2022, 242 businesses in New Mexico were recognized as FFNM awardees, with 56% of them increasing the number of family friendly policies between application and reapplication.
