Centering Equity in HR Using Family Friendly Policies

HR professionals and individuals that wear many hats within their organization, manage many different functions on paper. But one (sometimes overlooked) function of HR is that of operationalizing what the company truly values. Centering equity in our work requires a personal commitment to justice in our everyday lives. That means acknowledging racist and sexist practices within our organizations and ourselves and actively working toward creating new equitable systems.

This workshop aims to create a safe space to dig deeper at the constant evolution of not only the business case for social equity and justice, but;

  • Learn about actionable resources available to support your work to center equity as an integral part of your operations
  • Have the ability to identify two action item takeaways that you can start working on right away
