Why have you decided to have family friendly workplace policies?

Work/life balance is incredibly important to ensure you have a productive and happy team. All of this ultimately contributes to the overall success of a business. We go out of our way to keep employees engaged and happy, and that has led to a very low turnover rate.

How do family friendly workplace policies contribute to your business success?

A healthy happy team means higher productivity and better quality of work. This ensures that we are able to continuously provide the best possible customer service and high work quality that our clients expect.

What are the most popular family friendly policies among your employees?

We encourage team members to work remotely, whether in-state or out-of-state, in order to support aging family members or maintain a connection with their families who live out of state. Pre-COVID, we also brought in monthly chair massage and we took an out-of-town social trip with all expenses paid by the company. We look forward to being able to start those benefits again.

What advice do you have for other businesses wanting to add family friendly policies?

Do it! You’ll have a loyal and engaged team that will appreciate that you’re looking out for them and their families.

How has COVID affected your business? What are your plans post COVID?

We’ve worked virtually since March. Since we already had everyone set up with home offices, the transition went smoothly. We’ve become experts in Zoom webinars and virtual events and have increased our video production services by about 65%.

Our post COVID plan is to continue to be agile, responding to the changes in our community and technology and applying those learnings to achieve the best results for our clients.

How can the community support your business?

Support the local businesses and travel, travel, travel in-state. We represent lots of incredible local businesses from restaurants, to HVAC, to roofing to tourism destinations. The more you support them, the more we can help continue to promote them. Explore the sites in your backyard as soon as you have a chance to do it safely!
