Charles Ashley III
Guest Speaker
Founder of Cultivating Coders, previously served as Film Liaison and Marketing Specialist for Bernalillo County's Economic Development Department in New Mexico, and was Manager of Marketing for CNM's STEMulus Center. Charles is equal parts successful businessman and compassionate community advocate.
Dr. Gena Jones
Panelist
Dr. Jones has worked in the areas of Human Resources, Management and Supervision for over 30 years in both the private and public sectors; nineteen of which have been in executive leadership positions. She is certified as a Senior HR Professional from both HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and the National Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Dr. Erica Barreiro
Acts as a primary advisor, leader and contributor to an agile, adaptive, and future-forward college direction. She also serves as a Practical Futures Advisor with SocialTech.ai, an organization focused on using practical futures methodologies and innovative social technologies to maximize and scale opportunities for working learners and employers.
Suzie Benton
Northern New Mexico, small and local business supporter. Focusing on connections to family, land and the environment.

About
The Family Friendly New Mexico initiative takes a positive approach to transforming workplace policies in the state by: offering training and resources on how businesses can adopt more family friendly policies; awards and recognizes businesses that offer their employees family friendly benefits; and, acts as a resource and clearinghouse of information for businesses and community leaders as they develop policies on issues such as paid family leave, retirement planning and health insurance. In 2010, approximately 60% of New Mexico children had all parents in the workplace.
Family Friendly New Mexico is a non-profit initiative that recognizes New Mexico businesses with family friendly policies. It does not advocate for legislation or regulation but simply works to promote family friendly business practices to New Mexico business.
Family Friendly New Mexico was created by the New Mexico Task Force on Work-Life Balance to recognize and celebrate New Mexico businesses that have family friendly policies in place, including paid leave, health support, work schedules and economic support. Any New Mexico business is eligible to apply for the Family Friendly Business Award®.
